It contains gelatine, so no, it is not vegetarian. HELLO JELLO is made with gelatine and collagen protein, both from beef, so it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Thaumatin is a natural sweetener that comes from the katemfe fruit, a tropical fruit native to West Africa. It is a naturally occurring protein that is very sweet, which means we only need a teeny tiny amount to give HELLO JELLO its delicious sweetness. Unlike some other sweeteners, it does not come with sugar alcohols.

Malic acid and citric acid are naturally occurring food acids that help give HELLO JELLO its fruity taste. Citric acid is naturally found in citrus fruits like lemons and oranges, while malic acid occurs naturally in fruits such as apples. We use them to balance the sweetness and add that delicious little tang that makes fruity flavours taste fresh and juicy.

Each 105g serve has less than 1g of carbohydrate and about 20 calories, so it fits comfortably into a low-carb or keto way of eating. You also get 3.7 to 4.0g of protein per serve, depending on the flavour.

Stir sachet into 200 mL boiling water until dissolved. Add 200 mL cold water and stir again. Pop it in the fridge for at least 4 hours or until set. Makes 420 g of fun!

Want your jelly to jiggle? Don't add fresh pineapple, kiwi fruit or paw paw — it won't set!

Absolutely. HELLO JELLO can be used as the jelly of choice in any recipe. It behaves the same as any other jelly — bon appétit!

Firstly, make sure you haven't put fresh pineapple, kiwi fruit or paw paw into your jelly. These fruits contain enzymes that break down gelatine, so the jelly never firms up. Tinned pineapple is fine because heating switches the enzyme off. Otherwise, check that it has had at least 4 hours in the fridge and that you used 200 mL of boiling water followed by 200 mL of cold water.

Keep unopened sachets somewhere cool and dry. Once it's made, keep refrigerated.

You sure can, but things might get a little wobbly. Using less water will give you a firmer jelly, while adding more will make it softer. For the best HELLO JELLO experience, we recommend sticking to the 200 mL boiling water and 200 mL cold water on the pack.

Totally normal! That little jelly skin can happen when some of the gelatine or jelly mixture settles before it has fully dissolved. Give the mixture a really good stir when adding the hot water to make sure everything is completely dissolved before topping up with cold water. It is perfectly safe to eat, just a little less aesthetically wobbly.

Totally normal! Cloudiness or bubbles can happen when the jelly is stirred a little too enthusiastically or when air gets trapped in the mixture. Letting it sit for a minute before popping it in the fridge can help the bubbles settle. It will still taste just as delicious.

HELLO JELLO is designed to make jelly, so following the instructions will give you that classic wobble. Want something firmer and chewier? You can experiment by adding extra gelatine, but you might need a little trial and error to get your perfect lolly texture.
