Our Story
Two mums, one supermarket aisle and almost three years spent getting it right.
Almost three years ago, we stood in the supermarket aisle
looking at the back of a jelly packet and thought:
“Surely there has to be a better way to make jelly.”
Jelly was one of those magical foods from our childhoods.
Birthday parties, sick days, sleepovers, watching it wobble.
It was pure fun.
But when we looked at what was actually inside it,
we couldn't find one we genuinely felt good about serving our families and friends, or eating ourselves.
So we decided to create one!
What followed was almost three years of early mornings and late nights, fitting HELLO JELLO in around two families and two full-time jobs,
and hundreds of samples in pursuit of a very simple goal:
Create a jelly with ingredients we'd feel proud of without losing the thing that made us fall in love with jelly in the first place:
The fun.
Today, HELLO JELLO is a reality.
A full-flavoured, no-nasties jelly with less than 1g of sugar per serve,
made for kids and kids at heart.
Seeing something that started as an idea become something families can now pick up in store and online feels equal parts surreal, exciting and terrifying,
but mostly exciting!
For something that started as two mums asking a question in a supermarket aisle, that feels pretty special.
